How to Commission a Painting
You saw my work and you love it! You would like something similar to a painting I already done, but in a different color palette, size, etc.
STEP ONE: EXPLAIN WHAT YOU’RE LOOKING FOR
Letting me know which of my existing paintings you like most is a super easy way to start. I suggest that my clients look through my work to help generate ideas for your custom art.
I can visit you to see the space. This allowed me to get a sense of your interior style and where the painting might live. It will give us a chance to discuss what kind of feeling or energy you want the painting to bring into your home/space. If you’re not local or not have the time, it’s easy to do this via video chat, photos and videos.
STEP TWO: MOOD BOARD
I will create a simple presentation, drawing or sketch, of the painting's composition,
with the color palette and a recommended size for the painting. Once my client provides the feedback and we get agree, it’s time to move on to the next step.
STEP THREE : QUOTE
After finalizing some of the painting details like size, type, and timeline, I provide the client with a price quote.
I collect 50% of the project fee up front before I purchase any materials.
After this is approved, I start work on your painting and send you some "work in progress" shots along the way. Feedback on the piece is very welcome!
STEP FOUR: DELIVERY
If I ship the painting to you, we will discuss that cost.
If you live in Austin there is no delivery fees, I personally deliver it to you.
